On October 5th, BESI hosted a lunch conversation between New York Times journalist and podcast host Ezra Klein and PhD students from the Designated Emphasis in Political Economy and Jurisprudence and Social Policy programs. Klein and students discussed understanding and overcoming political impasse and policy gridlock, issues at the heart of Klein’s current book project and the Jefferson Memorial Lecture he delivered later that afternoon, “A Liberalism That Builds.”
